A family of entrepreneurs founded our Black Soldier Fly larvae research and production company, with over 5 decades of experience in commercial breeding of beneficial insects for biological pest control and natural pollination.

The demand for protein sources for both feed and food continues to rise. At the same time, various agricultural and food-processing industries are struggling to deal with its waste streams.

The Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) is a brilliant example of how nature can help us manage our waste streams and with that some of the inefficiencies in our food production cycle. The larvae provides a natural solution for bioconversion, as they absorb nutrients in organic material and transform this into high quality insect protein and fertiliser product. Because of its transformative qualities, also referred as the Phoenix worm.

The input streams used for production consist of GMP+ certified traceable vegetable feed materials only. The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority monitor the site.
